2016-2017 NFL Season Kicks Off on ESPN Deportes

Multiplatform live coverage of Monday Night Football available across ESPN Deportes TV, ESPN Deportes Radio and WatchESPN

ESPN Deportes will present live coverage of 17 regular season Monday Night Football games, a Wild Card playoff game and the Pro Bowl. The season kicks off with Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Washington Redskins Monday, September 12 at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN Deportes television, ESPN Deportes Radio and WatchESPN.

Super Bowl XXI and XXV champion Raul Allegre returns as in-game analyst along with play-by-play voice Alvaro Martin. ESPN Deportes’ coverage will feature a Monday night pregame show, NFL Esta Noche, at 8 p.m. ET, with hosts Eduardo Varela, Pablo Viruega and John Sutcliffe as onsite commentators and reporters.

In addition, ESPN Deportes’ weekly show NFL Live desde México returns every Saturday morning with commentators Ciro Procuna, Allegre, Sutcliffe and Eitan Benezra providing analysis and highlights.

sexy-football-adFor the 8th consecutive season, ESPN and ESPN Deportes will spotlight the league’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration. The telecast of the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Chicago Bears game on September 19 will include elements related to Hispanic Heritage Month and the league’s Fútbol Americano initiative.

ESPN Deportes Radio

For the fourth season, ESPN Deportes Radio will broadcast Monday Night Football. ESPN Deportes Radio will cover all 17 MNF games, Thanksgiving games and the Pro Bowl game live, starting with a double-header on Monday, September 12 featuring Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Washington Redskins at 7:00 p.m. EST and Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers at 10:15 p.m. EST. Kenneth Garay and Sebastian Christensen slated to provide coverage and highlights.

This season, dedicated segments will be featured during Firma ESPN from 6 a.m. ET – 9 a.m. ET and Zona ESPN from 12 p.m. ET – 2 p.m. ET. In addition, El Ultimo Pase, ESPN’s NFL-centric radio show, will air Sunday nights from 10 p.m. ET – 12 a.m. ET throughout the year. Zona ESPN, the multi-sports show, will feature daily NFL information and debates on Mondays and Fridays, from 12 p.m. ET – 2 p.m. ET, as well as in SportsCenter updates.


ESPNDeportes.com will also present extensive coverage throughout the season, including exclusive online content of all 17 MNF season games.
